|The first week of September always brings so much change! It represents the end of summer vacation, back to school, back to routine and the inevitable busy season of fall leading into the holidays. For some of us, school routines are far behind and the change of season means it’s time to pull out the sweaters, drink hot coffee instead of iced, and see fewer patio dinners. For others, it is a return to the skills of organization and structure that may have become rusty over the last many months. This year, back to school is more important than ever, and brings much uncertainty. Parents wonder if the kids be able to stay in class? Will the routine return to normal, or will there be a “new normal”? Are we going to be able to host indoor events? We definitely hope that it does so we can all get back into a fall routine that sets everyone up for future success.|
The summer has seen a huge shortage of homes for sale. Many believe that this is due to people taking advantage of the long-awaited reopening of many restaurants, leisure businesses, and just being able to gather with friends and family again. Fewer homes for sale in a market where there is high demand for purchasing homes has driven the prices to all-time highs. People who have been considering selling have, in many cases, waited for the summer to end before listing. It is projected that, now with a return to school for students and a general return to “normal”, the market will see an increase in the inventory of homes available for sale. We are watching closely to see if this means the market will cool down or level off.
Here is to hoping you had a happy Labour Day weekend, and a wonderful start to the school year!
